Academic and Legal Development Division ALSA LC Unsri carried out ALSA Legal Writing and Discussion # 1 as a form of implementation of one of the ALSA pillars, namely legally skilled and as a discussion space for ALSA LC Unsri membership to discuss the latest legal issues. ALSA Legal Writing and Discussion # 1 is expected to provide knowledge for the members of ALSA LC Unsri regarding the "Omnibus Law Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja" which is currently being discussed in all elements of society as well as training critical thinking skills, writing skills, and public speaking skills for the members of ALSA LC Unsri.
This activity began with the opening by the Master of Ceremony, Kholillah Apriani as Staff of Academic and Legal Development Division ALSA LC Unsri. Then, remarks by Fadhlan Taufiqurrahman as Director of ALSA LC Unsri and continued with a discussion session hosted by Fadiya Nadira as Manager of Academic and Legal Development Division ALSA LC Unsri.
The theme of ALSA Legal Writing and Discussion # 1 was "Menelaah Omnibus Law Undang-undang Cipta Kerja". Discussion participants expressed their opinions regarding whether the procedure for drafting the "Omnibus Law Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja" was in accordance with Law Number 12 of 2011 jo. Law Number 15 of 2019 concerning Regulations for the Establishment of Legislations, discusses the substance of the "Omnibus Law Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja", discusses the urgency of passing the "Omnibus Law Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja" amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as what solutions should be done by students related to the many rejections of the "Omnibus Law Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja". After the discussion session is over, proceed with a legal writing session. Participants write their analysis related to the discussion points that have been given. The results of the legal writing were sent to email academic ALSA LC Unsri. After that, it was followed by a group photo session and closing.
